The Mission of Engaged Encounter

Engaged Encounter is a marriage prep program that reaches the hearts of young people, appealing to their capacity for generosity, commitment, and love. We aim to nurture and support the marriage of a man and woman and their family life by offering an opportunity to experience a deep and loving communication with each other and with God.

We also encourage personal self-esteem and spirituality, couple and family relationships and community outreach which affirms the value of marriage in a diverse society.

Engaged Encounter fills the necessity of married couples to grow together in the belief that the future transformation of the world begins at the heart of the family ~ the couple.

The program fulfills the Pre-Cana church requirements of all denominations. Minnesota Engaged Encounter is highly recommended by churches throughout the Metro area. We are an inter-faith Christian experience and welcome couples of all faiths or no faith. The organization is not connected to any particular denomination. Individual and couple spirituality are shared versus a denomination. Guided by a team of trained volunteer couples, each participant takes an honest look at self, explores their relationship with each other, their family and society.

Pricing:

We have been holding our Engaged Encounter program via Zoom and will continue until we are able to return to McKenna Crossing. Attending the program will entitle you to a reduction in your marriage license fee. The registration fee of $100 is non-refundable but transferable. Your Engaged Encounter day is from 9:00 a.m. through 5:00 p.m.
